PHOTOGRAPHY:

B2 Photographique is primarily an avenue for the pursuit of creative expression. Though paying clients and commissions are accepted, these are generally projects that fall in line with Marc’s artistic vision. Though he often shoots images with models that are simply objects of beauty unto themselves, he also loves to tell stories or glimpses of them in his work. Marc’s work is often erotic in nature. He usually prefers to express this in a way that slowly reveals the body or only partially reveals, leaving the viewer to engage their imagination to fill in the rest. These visions are often expressed from a melancholy or sinister perspective. Dark color palettes mixed with rich colors or muted tones are a focus. Genres include fine art, pinup, vintage erotica, “dark”glamour”, fetish and related styles. A significant goal of his working process is to utilize models that are able to collaborate strongly in the shoot, contributing their own inspirations. Additionally, the occasional event draws his eye, inspired by the theatrics of captring a performance live, with it’s movement, drama and colorful stage lighting. Burlesque is a particular favorite.

B2 Photographique also pursues opportunities shooting automotive subjects. These are what drew him into the world of photography in 1999, shooting local events for Car Design News, an online publication. More recently, hot rod shows and events with the character of older, vintage model vehicles is most likely to gain his attention.
